Is it ok to take Plan B during your period?

I took the first pill this morning and will take the 2nd pill later on tonight.

Will it affect my period, and if so...how?

My next gyn appointment is next month.

I think you should ask your doctor since plan b/the morning after pill is supposed to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex/condom broke, a number of reasons...and clearly ur not pregnant if you period has started.
